ORCID is a mechanism that provides a persistent identifier to a researcher (aka an “ORCID ID”). By integrating with ORCID, Canadian HSS Commons can sign into the site using their ORCID ID instead of setting up another login. In the future, we’re going to look into other ways we can integrate with ORCID to offer a more seamless research profile development experience.
